The perfect weather filling the days on a regular basis signals to me that the French Open is upon us. This world-renowned tennis tournament begins on March 28 and ends with the men’s finals on June 8. I’m looking forward to watching the intense men’s finals with ’06 and ’07 French Open winner Rafael Nadal competing against ’06 and ’07 runner-up Roger Federer. The French Open schedule is always full of exciting matches, sure to keep you on your toes.
The rivalry between these two is always interesting to watch play out through the severe competition that decides, the “King of Clay.” The red clay surface at the Roland Garros tounament is less than optimun for many players and it is always interesting to see who shines and who goes home with a hurt ego.
I’m looking forward to getting out to play tennis since it’s sunny, not too hot and not too cold. This time of year makes me want to wake up early to go play a set or two. It also makes me ready to watch the French Open with a great schedule for 2008.
