Marriage, Casinos and Cher in Las Vegas

So, you and your boyfriend have decided that you have an upcoming weekend off and you’d like to get out of town for a while. That sounds great and now you only have to decide where you’d like to go. Popular opinion suggests that you can have an amazing time in Las Vegas, which is known for its amazing ability to cater to the whims and needs of its guests. You make your plans and soon you and your special someone are headed straight toward one of the Vegas four star hotels . And while you haven’t specifically planned out your exact agenda, you are well aware of all the great entertainment options and fun activities that are associated with this city so you fully expect to have a great time.

And your stay there gets off to an excellent start. You enjoy a fabulous buffet breakfast and then head straight for some slot machines in one of the major casinos. This city is truly glitzy and you’re immediately enticed by all the lights and glitter. After a few coins are dropped into one or two of the machines you decide you’d like to tour the city a little bit and head out to the busy streets. You drive down the strip and enjoy the people watching opportunities as well as take in the grandeur of some of the huge casinos. Suddenly your boyfriend suggests you find tickets for a show for that night and you immediately agree with the idea.

So, the two of you look through the paper and have trouble choosing between Cher , The Lion King, David Copperfield or Chris Angel and finally decide on Cher since she has been a personal favorite of both of yours for, well, your entire lives. The show is incredible and you enjoy a delicious dinner before heading out to do some more gambling. You decide you’re feeling a bit courageous and actually sit down at one of the poker tables, where you soon loose two hundred dollars. To cheer you up your boyfriend suggests you get married by Elvis at one of the chapels. You laugh and think it’s an urban legend, so the two of you determine to find Elvis and it turns out it’s not that difficult. You are so impressed with the idea that you and your boyfriend actually end up married. You return home the next day and inform your co-workers, family and friends of your incredible weekend. They feel a little left out.
